R Blends and 5 days off and a new blog!

Seriously - we have been off for 5 days in February and 5 in January (at least) plus a few in December. Now this is my kind of winter. I am SO grateful that I don't have to make up snow days, or I would be so angry! I really feel for those that have to be make theirs up. That really stinks!

Anyway on my days off, little by little I made two things that I have wanted to make for a while. One will be a work in progress that I will continue to add pieces to. One is one that I won't make for my shop because I can't make it personalized for each person, so I don't feel like it will be something that would be useful.

The product that I am proud of, and that I can't wait to use with my kiddos is this R blend packet! I am always working on different chunks with my kiddos and I think they will love it!  Please click on the pictures to head over to my store for this 21 page (and growing) packet!
I love the read and locate the answers. I am big on my friends being able to prove where they got their answer. I have seen so many times that my kids will change an answer if they need to go back into the passage to find their answer.

I also love that my friends can use a mirror to write their words. Anything to make things fun!

I also love a challenge for spelling. I don't expect them to be able to spell pretzel, but after doing the other components, I think that they can, but I would be happy they would get the initial blend correct.

I plan on putting things on my ceiling and I have little mini binoculars that I am going to have them use to fill out these last two forms!

Lastly, but not least - I am SO thrilled to be a part of this blog. I wanted a way to celebrate all of us teachers and what we do and share our ideas and dreams etc, and so after many months of working together and getting the perfect amount of people, I finally have it up and running with the help of my friends!!! Please come over and visit us for tips, tricks and of course, everyone's favorite - FREEBIES!!!

HAVE A GREAT NIGHT ALL!
