Made It Monday and The Summer is almost over

Can you believe that summer is almost over? I got back on the 21st! I cry. Seriously, where did my long summer off go? I guess I can't complain. Last year we started on the 10th. Don't the school gods know that I seriously have about 1.21 million things left to do to be ready. If I stopped going on Pinterest or Instagram, I would likely have been done in June! UGH you people! I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid! I love all yall, but it is costing me a fortune and hours of my time! I should be on the elliptical trying to lose this weight from my back surgery - however my naptimes are spent hurrying through project after project! :)

Well, I have a few Monday Made Its to share.
Made It Number 1
I bought these letters a few weeks ago, and wasn't sure of what to do with them.

So I painted them silver. But I just didn't like it!

So I decided to put scrapbook paper over them with mod podge.

I even tried washi tape - see it on the D? Yep, I didn't think so.

Here is the R - I was so mad about that bubble, however - it went away on its own!

Traced backwards

Mod Podged on.

It was just missing something!!! It looks plain still!!

Enter the beads!
TA - DA!

Aren't they beautiful! They have such character!

I just love them

I went to the Justin Timberlake/Jay Z concert in Baltimore this weekend! Oh my it was fantastic! I just had a great time! I loved the food

Look at the girl in the back photo bombing us! hahah I love that!
I am the blonde in between the brunettes! I won't post any other pictures. Lord knows that I drank way too much, and if you follow me on Instagram, you know I had a good time. I also had a fun time with my hashtags, yelling at Kayne West for saying no one would come to this concert - Let me tell you how wrong he was...
It was PACKED and I mean packed. it was a fantastic show!

I woke up hung over and made a new blog button! How cute - right?!
Made It Number 2

So I came home with a bunch of things I wanted to accomplish during naptime

First, I tried wrapping it with paper. Dang that took forever. X that.

So I painted them.

Looks better painted - right?!

The L was wrapped, the A and R painted. I like the paint too.

Here are my letters painted.

I took this sheet of lace and put it on the letters and just painted over them

How cute - right?

up close!

I added a few sparkly buttons - how flipping cute!

I will hang it like this on my wall in my library!

                                               Made it Number 3
I spent seriously 2 weeks trying to perfect my circles for my 100 number line. Then I thought holy smokes, I will need to cut by hand 100 numbers. No thanks.

I picked up this Martha Stewart cutter for $10.60 after my competitors coupon of 50% off plus our teachers discount! whoot. It works perfectly - go pick one up - but put a cutting board under - because it is sharp and will cut whatever is under it. Oh and these are laminated! I printed them, and laminated then cut. No double cutting. no fraying or pulling apart!

Made It Number 4

1 inch hole puncher - check

Scrapbook stickers that are clear - check

Adhesive magnets - check

twenty  minute project - check!

No laminating, no mod podge and no falling apart. My other ones - a few dropped and the stone shot off - I can only imagine my firsties dropping them and everyone diving to grab them off the floor.
Hope this works easier. oh and the circles were $1.99 without any coupon - in my book that is a score especially when they come 24 to a pack.

 Made It Number 5

I got this clock for free from a friend who never used it. I just wanted to say when lunch was so that kiddos would stop asking me. I have the cheap target ones, and it works fine, but I wanted lunch, end of day and specials.

First coat of paint.

Looking good

I made numbers and decided how I was going to place them. Man, being a perfectionist is not ok with this type of task.

This is all glued on, but still all wet.

Monday FAILED it
Oh - my pocket Chart
It died...not dyed...
What a mess!
Apparently, the thicker the material is, it won't dye.. dang it.

I'll be buying a new pocket chart.

I am working on number lines and here are a few that are finished!
You can click on each picture to purchase the color set you would like!

    1. I can't wait to do a reveal. I am hoping to have it all ready on Wednesday, but likely the Wednesday after that, if I am realistic. Since I am a perfectionist, I hate showing half done stuff!

  6. Your READ and LEARN letters turned out awesome. I'm so upset that my ROCK letters that had scrapbook paper and mod podge on them melted together in the car. Florida heat. :(
